HotelRite FIELD GUIDE
Read occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR together
Three related metrics answer different questions about room performance.
Occupancy
Occupancy compares sold room nights with available room nights. Keep your treatment of out-of-order rooms consistent across periods.
ADR
Average daily rate divides room revenue by sold room nights. It does not show occupancy or the costs of generating that revenue.
RevPAR
Revenue per available room divides room revenue by available room nights. It can help compare periods when capacity is defined consistently.
Look beyond the metric
Review distribution costs, staffing, guest experience, and maintenance alongside revenue. Higher room revenue does not by itself establish higher profit.
Keep the conversation grounded.
